Location and Transportation

The event will take place at the Faculty of Sciences and Technology (building 8), University of Algarve, in the city of Faro.

At the main entrance of the Gambelas Campus, you should go straight ahead and you will find building 8 of the Faculty of Science and Technology in the first block of buildings, on the left.

There are several ways to get there:

By plane:

Faro International Airport is located approximately 7 kilometres from the centre of Faro. It receives national flights (from Porto and Lisbon) and from several European countries. For more information about Faro International Airport, please see: www.aeroportofaro.pt

By train:

The National Railway Network connects the city of Faro to Porto in 5 hours and to Lisbon in 3 hours. Other cities like Braga, Aveiro, Coimbra, Guarda or Évora are also connected to the National Railway Network. For more information, please see: www.cp.pt

By bus:

There are several bus options from different cities in Portugal to Faro. There is also a direct busfrom Seville (Spain). Within the city of Faro, there is a network of buses that connect various points of interest. More information can be found at: www.proximo.pt

By car:

There are several roads leading to Faro from the North and Center of Portugal (e.g. IC1, A2).
